Ministers review the paddy procurement situation in Telangana

Hyderabad: Minister of Finance Harish Rao, along with Minister for Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar, held a meeting with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and other officials of the Civil Supplies department at BRKR Bhavan today.  The Ministers reviewed the paddy procurement situation in the state.

The officials were directed to prepare a comprehensive note on paddy procurement and be prepared with all the relevant information for the Chief Minister’s meeting which is likely to be convened shortly.MLC and Telangana Rythu Bandhu Chairman Palla Rajeswar Reddy, Commissioner Civil Supplies Anil Kumar and other officials attended the meeting. (INN)

Minister KTR pitches Telangana to Foxconn

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Industries Minister K T Rama Rao met Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn today in New Delhi.

Taiwan-based Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) (TWSE: 2317) is one of the leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider globally and is one of the largest suppliers for many top-tier international customers. Foxconn has manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. In 2021, Hon Hai‘s annual revenue reached USD 206 billion worldwide. The company ranked 22nd on the Fortune Global 500 in 2021.

During the interaction, Minister and Young Liu discussed Foxconn’s plans of expanding its footprint in India. Minister KTR also took the opportunity to pitch Telangana to the officials from Foxconn corporation present during the meeting for potential investment opportunities.

KTR further briefed Young Liu on the initiatives undertaken by State Government towards creating an enabling environment and infrastructure for fostering electronics manufacturing in Telangana. Young Liu was pleased to note the progress made by the State in the last 08 years.

Chairman Liu discussed the company’s future plans and said, “India is an attractive manufacturing destination, and we would like to see how we can expand our manufacturing footprint. Our India experience has been exciting, and we look forward to exploring the opportunities that Telangana as a state offers.”

Minister KTR said, “Foxconn is one of the biggest employers globally in the domain of Electronics manufacturing. We are excited about their decision to venture into EV manufacturing too. I assure the company of the best support possible from Telangana and invite the team to explore Telangana.”

Telangana has emerged as a preferred investment destination for investments in the electronics sector and boasts of a vibrant R&D and innovation ecosystem. The State is equipped with robust industrial infrastructure and is well-positioned to meet the requirements of global majors.

Health Minister Harish Rao inaugurates Paediatric Heart Surgery Unit at NIMS

Hyderabad: Rotary club of Jubilee Hills and SUVEN Life Sciences have set up s State of the Art Paediatric Heart Surgery Unit at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS),Hyderabad.

It is set up at an investment of Rs 4crore, CSR funds by Suven Pharma. The facility is expected to benefit 750 kids annually. The Paediatric Heart Surgeries will be performed free of cost.

Sri Thanneeru Harish Rao, Hon. Minister for Finance, Health, Medical & Family Welfare, Govt. of Telangana inaugurated this fully furnished modular 6 bedded Cardiothoracic ICU, Including a Class-l Air- conditioned isolation clean room suitable for Heart Transplant facility is equipped with high-end Heart-Lung Machine, ECHO, Nitric Oxide delivery, Bronchoscope, Infant Warmer beds to name a few.

Sri Venkat Jasti, Chairman and MD ‘s SUVEN Pharmaceuticals Limited provided CSR funds of close to Rs 4 Cr for this Facility to address Congenital Heart Diseases, prevalent in under nourished populace of rural villages.

MANUU Students Union’s “Jashn-e-Baharan” from tomorrow

Hyderabad:  Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s Students Union (MSU) is organizing cultural, literary & sports festival “Jashn-e-Baharan 2022” from June 24 to 28, 2022.

 According to the Convenor, MSU Advisory Committee, Dr. Mohd Yousuf Khan, Principal, MANUU Polytechnic Hyderabad various literary, cultural and sports competitions and activities will be held during the fest followed by a Job Fest on July 05.  Prof. Mohd Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teacher is the chairman of the committee.

The opening ceremony will be held on June 24, 2022, 3.00 pm at Agha Hashar Kashmiri Auditorium at DDE, MANUU.

Dr. Viquar Unnisa, Provost, Girls Hostel and Dr. A Kaleemulla, Deputy Director, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports are the convenors for sports and games competitions under  which Athleties, Badminton, Carroms, Chess, Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Volley Ball and Weight lifting competitions will be held at sports complex & play ground. Dr. Ahmad Khan, Director, Center for Urdu Culture Studies is the convener for literary activities – Bait Bazi, Essay writing, Elocution, Debate and Youth Parliament will be held. The convenors for Extra-Curricular Activities are Prof.  Karan Singh Utwal, Department of Hindi and Dr. Muzaffar Hussain Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Education & Training. Cultural Night, Food Fest, Job Fest Day, Poster Making, Painting, Mushaira and Qirat Competition are the part of extra-curricular activities.

377 more pilgrims leave for Haj

Hyderabad: The third batch of 377 Haj pilgrims from Telangana State left this morning after some delay due to technical reasons.

Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem, Executive Officer B. Shafiullah, Members Mohammed Jafer Khan, Syed Nizamuddin, Syed Irfan ul Haq, Syed Ghulam Ahmed Hussain, noted Islamic scholar Moulana Mohammed Anwar Ahmed Qadri and AEO Irfan Shareef flagged off the first bus of the pilgrims.

Addressing the pilgrims before their departure, Saleem advised them to spend their time in prayers only and do not focus on phone calls etc. He asked them not to go for shopping in Saudi Arabia as everything of better quality is available in our country. He said that the pilgrims are going so far only for the prayers, therefore they should not waste their time on making phone calls to India. He said that the temperature in Makkah today is 40 degrees C as per the Metrology Department.

Earlier, former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir visited the Haj House, met the pilgrims and advised them to pray for the peace and development of the country and the state.The fourth batch of Haj pilgrims is scheduled to depart from Hyderabad International Airport at 8:35 am on 25th June 2022. (INN)

Rythu Bandhu payment will be deposited from June 28: CM KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to deposit Rythu Bandhu benefit for the ensuing ‘Vanakalam’ crop investment in farmers’ bank accounts from June 28.

CM KCR directed State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar for further action. The State Government will deposit Rythu Bandhu funds in farmers’ accounts in a phased manner. (INN)

MANUU giving admissions in Legal Studies, JMC, MCom, MSc through merit

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University, the only university offering courses at a higher level in Urdu medium, has introduced MA in Legal studies and three certificate courses in French, Russian, Pashto from the academic year 2022-2023.

The newly introduced, MA Legal studies programme will enable students to face competitive examinations and enhance their soft skills. It will also enhance their capabilities to face growing competition, and their employability in NGOs, Civil Society Organizations, Health Sector, and Corporate Sector. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized institution/University+Urdu as a subject/language or as a Medium in 10th/12th / Graduation level or equivalent Madrasa courses with Urdu as a medium of Instruction approved by MANUU are eligible to take admission.

The eligibility criteria for Certificate of Proficiency in Pashto is 10+2 or equivalent, or Alim/Fazil degrees from recognized institutions whereas candidates with 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized institution are eligible for Certificate of Proficiency in French and Russian.

The other courses being offered under Post Graduate Programmes are Urdu, English, Hindi, Arabic, Translation Studies, Persian; Women Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work, Islamic Studies, History, Economics, Sociology, Journalism And Mass Communication; M.Com; and M.Sc.(Mathematics). Part-time diploma programmes are available in Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, Islamic Studies and Ghazal Appreciation (Tahseen-e-Ghazal) apart from Certificate Course in Urdu.

The last date for the online submission of application forms is August 30, 2022.

Haj 2022: 24×7 Control Room set up at Haj House

Hyderabad: As many as 754 Haj pilgrims from Telangana State have reached the holy city of Makkah safely by two chartered flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines, announced Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem.

The TSHC Chairman said that all the pilgrims are safe and they have performed Umra. The Haj Committee has sent three Khadim-ul-Hujjaj along with the pilgrims with the instructions to be in touch with the pilgrims and the authorities and provide necessary help and guidance and assistance if the situation demands that.

Saleem informed that a 24×7 Haj Control Room has been set up in the office of the Haj Committee to monitor the situation and provide necessary help to the concerned. MANUU announces schedule for distance mode exams

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad  National Urdu University’s Examination Branch is conducting Distance Mode Annual examinations for various undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate courses from July 14 to August 7, 2022.

According to a schedule released by Dr. Zair Hussain, Controller of Examinations, the examination will be held at various examination centre throughout the country for MA (Urdu, History, English, Islamic Studies, Arabic, Hindi), BA, B Sc, B Com, Certificate & Diploma Courses of distance mode courses in the morning and afternoon sessions.
