RGIA in World’s Top 3 Airports for Service Quality

Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has been featured among the world’s top three airports globally for the seventh year in a row. Airports Council International (ACI) ranked it at the third position in airport service quality (ASQ) ranking worldwide for 2015.

ACI declared RGIA third best airport in the world in the 5-15 Million Passenger Per Annum (MPPA) category. RGIA is operated and managed by GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL). The ACI ASQ program is the airport industry’s only global bench-marking program measuring passenger satisfaction in real time while passengers are at the airport.

Commenting about the recognition, the company said, “This accomplishment reflects RGIA’s unflinching endeavour to constantly strive to deliver service excellence and offer the best to the travellers from all across the globe.”

In the ASQ survey, over 300 airports participates and measures passenger satisfaction. The ACI ranks the airports on the basis of airport service quality surveys which represent passenger feed back on 34 key service indicators.

CEO of GHIAL, SGK Kishore expressed delight at the recognition received from ACI. He called it “a moment of great pride for us”. The Hyderabad airport has consistently been ranked among the top 3 airports globally since its inception.

Among other things, the ranking augments efforts of IT Minister K. T. Ramarao’s in promoting brand Hyderabad worldwide to attract tourists and investors. It definitely adds value to Hyderabad’s standing as a leading global destination for travel, tourism and investment.

GHIAL also has to its credit ‘Golden Peacock Environment Management Award (GPEMA)’ for the year 2015, for having attained significant achievements in the field of Environment Management at RGIA.
