CII and Telangana Government Join Forces to Make State Greener

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) through its state chapter with Government of Telangana to make the state greener and healtheir.

Telangana Information Technology secretary Jayesh Ranjan IAS and CII Telangana chairperson Vanitha Datla exchanged the MoU yesterday at the CII Telangana Annual Meeting held in Hyderabad.

As a facilitation partner in the government’s Mega Plantation Drive initiative, the CII Telangana would involve in planting 25 lakh saplings in one day.

“CII today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Telangana to facilitate its path-breaking initiative of planting 25 Lakh saplings in one day,” read a statement from the organization.

Expressing delight over signing of the MoU, Ms Vanitha Datla, Chairperson, CII-Telangana highlighted, CII is indeed honoured to partner with the Government of Telangana in its Green activities & initiatives. We are sure, this Mega Plantation Drive initiative will go a long way in increasing the Green cover of the State and in the process increase the quality of the life of the people, she underlined.

M Anil Kumar V Epur, former CII Southern Region chairman called the Mega Plantation Drive initiative “an excellent step in the right direction”.

“This unique initiative augurs well in instilling a sense of commitment towards Planet Earth”, he added.

He also informed that the CII would reach-out information about this excellent initiative to the stakeholders of industry and building sector in Telangana, and its affiliated associations & organizations.
