CS reviews arrangements for R-Day at Parade Grounds

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary S.P. Singh has directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the conduct of Republic Day celebrations on January 26 at Parade Grounds.

The Chief Secretary held a review meeting with the top officials of various departments at the State Secretariat on Monday. He directed the officials to constitute separate teams to perform specific tasks related with security and other arrangements.

Singh said proper arrangements for security and traffic management should be made around Parade Grounds. He said all the important buildings like Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, Assembly, High Court, Gun Park and other historical monuments like Charminar, Clock Tower, etc.,

should be illuminated on the occasion. There should be uninterrupted supply of power and water. He also directed the special RTC buses be arranged for transportation of school children attending the event.

The meeting was attended by GAD Principal Secretary Aadhar Sinha, Governor’s Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, HMWSSB MD Dana Kishore, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.V. Srinivas Rao, DG Fire Services Rajiv Ratan, Hyderabad Collector Yogitha Rana and others.

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan will be the Chief Guest for Republic Day celebrations at Parade Grounds. (INN)
