KRTA appeals KS Govt for Telangana Bhavan in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A delegation of Kannada Rastra Telangana Association (KRTA) met Karnataka Chief Secretary K Ratna Prabha on Saturday and requested to allocate a piece of land for establishing of Telangana Bhavan in Bengaluru.

The proposal of establishing Telangana Bhavan was prepared by the KRTA members says that it would serve as a centre of cultural, semi-social, entrepreneurial and tourism centre and would attract the entire Telugu community living in the State.

The Karnataka CS responded positively to the proposal and the appeal by KRTA and said that she would pursue this issue with the government. She said that a centre of such kind would be better for strengthening the relations between two states would be very helpful.

The file pertaining to the request of KRTA regarding Telangana Bhavan was moved forward to the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

KRTA founder president Sundeep Kumar Makthala said that the Bhavan could serve in boosting tourism, cultural exchange and initiating deliberations on various other fronts between two states for mutual prosperity and interests.

KTRA proposed the name of the Bhavan as ‘Pampana Telangana Bhavan’. Pampa was one of the ancient Kannada poets and he actually hailed from Bodhan area of Telangana State.

The Bhavan would be a place for cultural activities, celebrations, setting up tourist information centre of Karnataka for tourists coming to state. It would also provide accommodation for dignitaries, VIPs and tourists.

EV Sathish Kumar, Sarath Chandra Bairu and Chakinala Rajender were part of delegation along with KRTA Founder President Mr. Sundeep Kumar Makthala. (INN)
