Amit Shah rules out BJP’s alliance with any party in Telangana

Hyderabad: BJP National President Amit Shah on Friday ruled out his party’s alliance with any other political outfit in Telangana State.

Speaking to the party leaders from Telangana, Amit Shah made it clear that the BJP would alone contest from all 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha segments in the State.

Led by Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman, a delegation comprising of senior leaders includling Bandaru Dattatreya, G. Ksihan Reddy, Ramchandra Reddy, Srinivas and Chandrashekhar, met Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday.

They briefed him about the latest political situation in the State. Senior leaders including Muralidhar Rao and Ram Madhav were also present in the meeting.

Amit Shah expressed satisfaction over the functioning of State BJP unit. He said BJP’s position in Telangana was better than the main opposition Congress party.

He said that the BJP has strong chances of coming to power in Telangana and therefore, the State unit should intensify their efforts.

The Telangana unit leaders also complained against a few union ministers who praised TRS Government. While the State BJP leaders are fighting against the TRS Government, some union ministers, during their visits to Telangana, have openly praised the schemes of State Government. (INN)
