Hyderabad: Around 25,000 people are likely to participate in Swachh Survekshan 2018 programme being organized by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on February 17 to create awareness on segregation of dry and wet garbage.
The programme is being conducted at Uppal Stadium on the occasion of birthday of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday. GHMC Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan, several ministers, legislators and corporators will participate in the programme.
The Mayor informed that that the GHMC has been taking up innovative awareness programmes by involving citizens. He said various SHGs, school children and students from various colleges would be participating on Saturday’s programme.
The Mayor, along with senior officials of various departments, inspected the arrangements at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal today. Celebrities from Telugu Film world various sports personalities are also being invited for the programme. (INN)
