Nalgonda Superintendent of Police IPS Vikram Jeet Duggal felicitated two prominent citizens of the district with shawl and mementos at his official residence SP House.
IPS Duggal honored and praised Mayor of South London (Lambeth) Saleha Jaffer, who is a native of Nalgonda. She became mayor last month, and came to visit her hometown. Her father was gazetted officer.
In addition, IPS Duggal also honored son of soil M.A. Najeeb, who is an International Ambassador for Peace associated with UPF International.
H.E. Saleha entered politics in 2014 through UK’s Labour Party, after spending considerable time in government and welfare services.
Before becoming Mayor of Lambeth, she held the post of Deputy Mayor of the same city. She pledged to spend the amount she would be receiving as Mayor on needy people of Hyderabad.
She also said that she would spend money to be received under Mayor Charity over women’s technical education and self employment in Telangana.
Telangana State Minority Employees Service Association (TSMESA) hosted the program in Nalgonda in her honor.
