725 candidates appear for Civil Services exams coaching screening test

Hyderabad: As many as 725 students appeared for screening test for selection of candidates for Civil Services Examination 2019 conducted by the Minorities Welfare Department of Government of Telangana on Saturday.

The MWD is implementing a unique scheme “Sponsoring 100 Minority Candidates to private reputed coaching centre for All India Services examinations coaching” since last year.

Under this scheme candidates are selected through screening test conducted throughout Telangana and sponsored to the institutes of their choice from empaneled Institutions viz; RC Reddy IAS Study Circle, Brain Tree, La Excellence, Analog and Hyderabad Study Circle. The entire fee is paid by the government and stipend is also paid to the candidates.

To select the suitable candidates for Civil Services Examination 2019 coaching programme, the Screening Test was held on Saturday at Nizam College Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar, Adilabad, Sangareddy and Warangal under the supervision and guidance of Prof. S.A.Shukoor Director, Centre for Educational Development of Minorities.

Advisor to TS Govt A. K. Khan and MWD Director Shahnawaz Qasim visited the examination centre at Nizam College Hyderabad and expressed satisfaction over arrangements and smooth conduct of the test and delighted to see more number of girls are coming forward to participate in such competitive examinations.

He said the empowerment of minorities is only possible through education and the recent trend of awareness among girls and their interest and performance in education is a positive sign of community development and empowerment. (INN)
