Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party leader K. Jana Reddy said that only Congress High Command could take a decision on party’s Chief Ministerial candidate for Telangana in next elections.
Speaking to media persons in Karimnagar on Sunday, Jana Reddy clarified that the ongoing Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra was not being held to announce the CM candidate.
He said only the high command would take a decision on CM nominee and also the candidates from various constituencies. He said a section of media has been publishing various stories based on irresponsible comments made by some leaders.
Jana Reddy said the Congress party has not yet decided on having electoral alliances.
Speaking about the Rythu Bandhu scheme, Jana Reddy described it as an election gimmick. He also criticised the TRS Government for spending crores of rupees on its publicity.
He said the previous Congress regime had implemented several schemes which benefitted common people. However, it never wasted public money for personal publicity. (INN)
