Farmers are happy with ‘Rythu Bandhu’ scheme: TRS

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has claimed that there has been a wave of happiness among farmers over Rythu Bandhu scheme whose cheques are being distributed since the last four days.

Addressing a press conference at TRS Legislature Party office on Monday, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar said that the Rythu Bandhu scheme has been so successful that it has forced the Congress leaders to support it.

He ridiculed the demand of TPCC President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar demanding increase in MSP and said that the MSPs are decided by the Central Government and not the State. He said that the sympathy being expressed by Congress leaders towards farmers was fake.

Prabhakar said before making new promises with the farmers, the Congress leaders should look at their 2009 manifesto.

Stating that the Congress party’s claim of winning next elections was like day-dreaming, he advised the Congress leaders to learn to behave like a constructive opposition. (INN)
