Yedurappa did no wrong: Dattatreyya

Hyderabad: BJP senior leader and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has strongly defended the efforts made by former Karnataka CM B.S. Yedurappa is forming a government.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Dattatreya said Yedurappa tried all means to form a government and resigned after he failed to get the required numbers.

He said Yedurappa did nothing wrong to stay in power. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to criticise on BJP as he himself has come to power through wrong means. Further, he said Naidu had encouraged defections and lured several legislators and MPs of YSRCP into TDP.

Similarly, he said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was getting closer to Congress in the name of Federal Front.

He asked TRS leaders to clarify as to why KCR was attending the swearing in ceremony of Kumaraswamy who is forming the government with Congress support.

Dattatreya has ridiculed the remarks of TRS MP K. Kavitha where she predicted complete rout of BJP and Congress in next elections. He claimed that the BJP would win the assembly elections in Telangana and TRS would be completely wiped out. (INN)
