Hyderabad: In compliance with the resolution of the Executive Council, the Osmania University administration has requested the government to provide the norms/policy to be followed for renaming the Osmania University Main Library as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Library.
The University administration had placed the matter before the Executive Council recently as it had received representations from various student organizations and Osmania University SC/ ST Teachers Association to rename the University Library as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Library.
The Library has over six lakh books including some rare manuscripts and is the most frequented place by faculty, students and research scholars. (INN)
