Hyderabad: National Commission for Scheduled Castes Vice Chairman L. Murugan held a review meeting with South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Tuesday during his visit to South Central Railway at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad.
Additional General Manager John Thomas and Principal Chief Personnel Officer N.V. Ramana Reddy were amongst officials present during the meeting.
Speaking to media on the occasion, Murugan appreciated the efforts of South Central Railway towards the staff welfare and grievance redressal mechanisms in practice.
He expressed happiness on the fruitful conduct of the meeting in which various issues concerning to employees like promotions, compassionate ground appointments, provision of infrastructure for association offices he added.
He requested the General Manager to initiate the process for filling up of backlog vacancies on South Central Railway.
Murugan also advised the administration to look in to the issues pertaining to promotion of Loco pilots etc,. He also held a detailed discussion with the representatives of All India SC/ST Association regarding various issues pertaining to the Scheduled Caste employees working all over the Zone. (INN)
