Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav distributed appointment letters to 462 Veterinary Assistants to be absorbed in the department at a function organised at Secretariat on Tuesday.
Congratulating all the successful candidates who were selected through Telangana State Public Service Commission, the Minister said that this was first time that so many Veterinary Assistants were being appointed in one spell.
With the new appointments, he said that the Animal Husbandry has become one of key department for the development of rural economy.
He said that for the first time the government has distributed sheep units at a cost of Rs. 5,000 crores and in coming days another programme of distributing cows and buffalos would be launched wherein Rs. 890 crores will be spent for about 2.11 lakh beneficiaries. (INN)
