Heavy rains: CM puts official machinery on alert

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the State official machinery, to be alert and vigilant, in view of heavy rains and also in view of possibility of heavy rains all over the Telangana State in the coming couple of days.

The Chief Minister has reviewed on Thursday the situation arising out of rains and effect of floods in Adilabad and other districts. He spoke to Chief Secretary S.K Joshi and DGP Mahender Reddy.

The Chief Minister has instructed that the Special Officers, who have been already appointed to handle the situation, to monitor the flood situation in the districts for which they are in charge and take up where ever necessary relief and rehabilitation work in close coordination with local officers.

CM KCR has also instructed that Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs should be available to the people in their respective districts and constituencies and should monitor relief works where ever required in coordination with police and other officers.

He said that in State Secretariat also a Senior Officer should review the situation round the clock.

The Chief Minister wanted that efforts have to be made and steps to be taken in such a way that no inconvenience is caused to people as there is a possibility that the river lets, and streams here and there might over flow.
