Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president and Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha has announced that her organisation would organise Bathukamma festival celebrations this year in Telangana State in view of elections.
Kavitha, in a media statement on Friday, said that Telangana Jagruthi has been organisation Bathukamma celebrations every year since 2008.
However, she said in view of Assembly elections, opposition parties might target the Jagruthi for political gains. She said Jagruthi never took any financial assistance from the Telangana Government to organise the celebrations and promoted Telangana’s culture and heritage in 15 countries across the globe.
Therefore, she said except Telangana, Jagruthi would organise Bathukamma at all other places.
