Filing a 100 Cr defamation case on Revanth Reddy: EventsNow Company

Hyderabad: The Events Now company has threatened to file a Rs. 100 crore defamation against Telangana Congress Working President A. Revanth Reddy.

“EventsNow is not into the business of organizing events. It’s a software driven event ticket booking platform. EventsNow is one of the most reputed among hundreds of ticketing companies in India.

Revanth Reddy doesn’t have a minimum understanding of the functioning of online e commerce ticketing business,” the company said in a press release on Saturday evening.

It claimed that all the accusations made by Revanth Reddy are baseless, and intended to tarnish the image of the Company and its promoters.

In a press note, the company strongly denied all allegations made by Revanth Reddy against EventsNow and its promoters and described them as false and baseless. “If Revanth Reddy does not withdraw his false propaganda against EventsNow promoters, he should be prepared to face criminal case followed by defamation suit.

The allegations made by Revanth Reddy clearly prove that he does not have any knowledge about how online e-commerce ticketing business works and he is making allegations against the company with some vested interest,” the company said.

Similar allegations were made by Revanth Reddy against EventsNow in 2017 and the company sent a legal notice to Reddy. However, he failed to respond to the notice.

The company expressed strong reservation against comments made by Revanth Reddy Since these allegations are affecting and damaging the reputation of the company and image of its promoter.

EvenstNow demanded that Revanth Reddy withdraw his allegations and tender unconditional apology immediately, failing Which EventsNow will pursue legal recourse by filing suitable criminal charges and 100 Crore defamation suit. (INN)
