Hyderabad: The Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday celebrations of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) will be celebrated across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on November 21.
The Central Ruiyat-e-Hilal Committee, which met here at Hussaini Building at Maozam Jahi Market, announced that the holy month of Rabi-ul-Avval will commence on November 9 (Friday) as the crescent was not sighted on Thursday evening.
Therefore, the Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated across the two States on November 21.
The meeting, chaired by Majlis-e-Ulema Deccan Secretary General Moulana Syed Mohammed Qubool Pasha Shattari, was attended by eminent religious heads.
Besides conducting Milad Juloos (rally), several organisations including Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Majlis Bachau Tahreek, Majlis-e-Tameer Millat and others organise massive religious meetings on the occasion.
