Revanth offers to quit politics on losing Kodangal seat

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President A. Revanth Reddy stated that he was ready to quit politics if he loses elections from Kodangal seat. Else, he said caretaker minister K. Tarakarama Rao should take political sanyas.

Addressing a press conference at his residence, Revanth Reddy asked KTR to accept his challenge and make his view public. He said that the Congress-led People’s Front was all set to win the elections and it would be a gift for UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

He said people have given a shocking mandate against TRS which would be known on December 11.

Revanth Reddy alleged that the TRS has indulged in several poll irregularities and also deleted the names of opposition workers at booth level.

He said TRS leaders enacted several dramas and mistakes due to the fear of a humiliating defeat. He said more than 20 lakh people have been deprived of their voting rights. He demanded that the Election Commission of India order a comprehensive probe into the matter. (INN)
