AMU Students Compliment Hyderabad Youth Mirror

Students, research scholars, and alumni of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) complimented Hyderabad Youth Mirror on 18 June 2015, and congratulated the team behind the magazine in an event organized at Non Resident Students Club, AMU.

The event started by recitation of the Holy Quran in the beautiful voice of Abu Sultan, following the tradition of AMU. The Club Secretary Syed Jamal Mahmood welcomed all the guests and appreciated the work of the team behind Hyderabad Youth Mirror.

Editor of Non Resident Students Club, Mohd Nadeem Khan highlighted the important role of print media in nurturing the reading and writing skills of the students.

Ex-Senior Cabinet, Haider Ali thanked Hyderabad Youth Mirror for sending about 200 copies for free distribution in AMU. He motivated students to be a part of HYM.

Ex-President AMUSU Shehzad Alam Burni, appreciated the efforts of HYM and congratulated the editor for maintaining the quality of the magazine. He promised for any help to promote the magazine nationally. As founder of Muslim Issues (an online news portal) he highlighted the role of media in framing the minds of the people.

While inaugurating the magazine Ex-Vice President of AMUSU, Syed Mazin Hussain Zaidi discussed the quality of the HYM. He tried to steer the audience towards the fact that written words are long lasting than spoken words and are capable of creating a revolution. He cited several examples where pen caused the revolution that changed course of histories.

At the end of the event the magazine was distributed to the audience for free while they enjoyed refreshment. The program was organized by Nayyer Rahman on behalf of the HYM team.

Among other notable invitees of the program were: Abdullah Azzam (President, AMUSU), Masood-ul-Hassan (Vice President, AMUSU), and Shahzeb Ahmad (Secretary, AMUSU). However, the members of present students union were not able to join the inauguration due to some urgent meetings.
