PM Modi is suffering from personality disorder: Congress

Hyderabad: The Congress party on Friday alleged that Prime Minister Narender Modi was suffering from Paranoid Personality disorder.

“PM Modi has always displayed unhealthy pattern of thinking, functioning and behaviour. He had served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for three terms, but enjoyed calling himself a ‘chaiwala’ (tea seller), a profession which he claimed to have practised in his childhood. Despite serving as India’s Prime Minister, he calls himself a ‘Chowkidar’ (watchman).

His speeches clearly reflect his ‘pervasive distrust and suspicion of others and their motives’ which is a major characteristic of a person suffering from Paranoid Personality Disorder,” Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy said in a statement today.

Gudur Narayana Reddy said it was common that a person might not realize that he was having a personality disorder as his way of thinking and behaviour looks natural to him. Same is the case with PM Modi, he said adding that PM Modi must do a serious introspection of his behaviour and speeches and take corrective measures immediately.

“If Modi is not having issues pertaining to his mental health, then he is consciously and wilfully cheating the entire nation with his diversionary and divisive politics.

“With the slogan ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ receiving mass acceptance, Modi has now started playing the caste card. He tried to polarise the elections on multiple occasions by using terms like ‘Shamshaan and Qabarastan’ and referring to Wayanad as a place ‘Where Minority Are In Majority’.

Modi is now trying to dilute ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ phrase by calling himself as a ‘pichda’ (a person belonging to Backward Classes). This is ridiculous,” he said.

Gudur Narayana Reddy said the Prime Minister of India represents entire nation and not just one community, religion or region. However, it appears that PM Modi carries a whole set of masks which he wears as per the changing circumstances.

“Modi is searching for one thousand reasons to evade questioning in Rafale Deal. But he is unable to give reply to a straight question posed by Congress president Rahul Gandhi on pricing of Rafale deal and whether or not he benefitted Anil Ambani to the tune of Rs. 30,000 crore by snatching away contract from the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

It is highly unfortunate that the Prime Minister is equating his political rivals with enemies of the country only to escape probe in scams that occurred during his regime,” he said.

The Congress leader advised the top BJP leadership to convince PM Modi to undergo a full mental health check-up so that he could be cured of Personality Disorder or any other disease he is suffering from, especially his tendency to hold grudges against all others.

Gudur condemns suspension of IAS officer

Gudur Narayana Reddy also condemned the suspension of IAS Mohammed Mohsin who checked Prime Minister’s chopper in Odisha’s Sambalpur on April 16. He said that the Election Commission of India has acted in haste in taking action against the IAS officer under provisions which does not exist at all.

He said no one, including the Special Protection Group (SPG) protectees like the Prime Minister, is exempted from checks during elections. As a General Observer of Sambalpur constituency, the IAS officer just did his job. However, the Election Commission wrongly punished him for committing no crime.

The Congress leader said that the Election Commission did not act against PM Modi when he sought votes in the name of martyrs of Pulwama terror attack. But it was quick to take action against the IAS officer who honestly performed his duties.

He pointed out that the Election Commission took suo motto action as no Field Level Officer or the Odisha’s Chief Electoral Officer formally lodged a complaint against checking of PM’s helicopter. He said no hue and cry was made when the helicopter of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was checked.

Similarly, there was no action when then vehicle of Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy’s vehicle was checked by the poll authorities. But the EC acted in fear when PM Modi’s helicopter was checked and targetted an IAS officer.

Gudur Narayana Reddy demanded that suspension of IAS officer Mohammed Mohsin be revoked immediately. (INN)
