Hyderabad, INN: Deputy Speaker of Telangana Legislative Assembly Padma Devender Reddy on Sunday said that the State Government would construct the Mallanna Sagar in Medak district at any cost.
Speaking to media persons here, the Deputy Spaker said that the Mallanna Sagar would irrigate about 10 lakh acres of land in Medak and neighbouring districts.
However, she alleged that the opposition parties were causing obstructions only for their political survival. She also accused the Congress party of provoking the farmers over the issue of compensation.
Padma Devender Reddy said that the compensation being offered to the outsees of Mallanna Sagar was much higher than the amount paid by the previous Congress regimes.
She said irrespective of hurdles being created by the opposition parties, the TRS Government was firm on completing the project.
