Hyderabad: An iftar event was hosted by the SIO Telangana for journalists and media professionals at the Islamic Centre Mehdipatnam, on the occasion of Ramadan.
Malik Amer Media Manager SIO TS welcomed the attendees and br.ibraheem Sayeed Organising Secretary gave a brief introduction of SIO.
The event was held to bring together local media personnel to promote a closer rapport and to give them the opportunity to exchange their views on various issues.
The topic of discussion was “How to counter hate”. State President of SIO Dr. Talha Faiyazuddin, dignitaries from different media professions shared their views, analyzed the present role of journalism and tried to formulate the future course of actions to be taken up.
The gathering concluded with iftar and dinner followed by a lively discussion on contemporary issues.
