Forest Minister visit Nehru Zoological Park

Hyderabad: Forest Minister A. Indra Karan Reddy visited Nehru Zoological Park on Monday.

The Minister released a pair of African Lion cubs, into the enclosure for the public display at Lion moat area, Ostrich chicks in Ostrich enclosure, Walkthrough aviary inaugurated at Stork enclosure and Duck pond enclosure.

The Minister and Ajay Mishra, Spl C.S., EFS&T, along with P.K. Jha, Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), T.S., Forest officials and Zoo officials took a round of the zoo and appreciated the maintenance and upkeep of the zoo.

Later, the Minister and Spl C.S. EFS&T and all other members planted trees to supplement the trees fallen during heavy wind and rain in zoo park on April 20, 2019. The 8th Zoo’s And Park’s Authority of Telangana annual meeting is held at the meeting hall of the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad.

The committee approved the developmental works proposed to be taken up in 2019 – 20. Tech Mahindra has came forward to take up upliftment of zoo park under CSR upto a time of 1 Crore rupees duly taking up food court at front entrance.

The same is approved by the committee. Zoo infrastructure plan for 2020 – 40 is developed and presented before the committee for approval. (INN)
