Free Civil Services coaching for minorities in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Minorities Welfare Department Government of Telangana is implementing a unique scheme “Sponsoring 100 Minority Candidates to private reputed coaching centre for All India Services examinations coaching”.

Under this scheme 100 candidates were selected through screening test conducted throughout Telangana and sponsored to the institutes of their choice from empanelled Institutions. The entire fee is paid by the government and stipend is also paid to the candidates.

In this connection, a counselling session was held at TMREIS Head Office, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad in which 5 empanelled institutions viz; Analog, Brain Tree, RC Reddy, Vision IAS Institute and Hyderabad Study Circle participated and gave their presentation.

Addressing the counselling session, A.K.Khan, Advisor to Government of Telangana, Minorities Welfare& President TMREIS described this as a unique scheme, considering that the government was making efforts to overcome the under-representation of Muslims and other minorities in IAS and IPS.

Shahnawaz Qasim, Director, Minorities Welfare & Director Telangana State Minorities Study Circle cautioned the candidates to put in sincere efforts for realising their dream of becoming an IAS and IPS.

B. Shafiullah, Secretary, TMREIS said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao wants the minorities to get these positions through competitive examinations. If Minority students get selected in IPS and IAS, they could ensure proper implementation of welfare schemes for their community. (INN)
