GITAM University, Hyderabad Aerospace Engineering students won the National Award in the Large Scale Multi-disciplinary Systems of National Significance – Trends & Challenges (LAMSYS-2016).
This National Conference was organized by Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE), Sriharikota, Chennai Chapter in collaboration with ISRO at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharikota on 24-25 June 2016.
Durga Jyoti Bandyopadhyay, Kolachina Akhil and Rachakonda Manish Kumar, final year students of GITAM University were participated as a team and won the best poster award, which was based on their final year project under the guidance of Assistant Professor S.Kishore Kumar.
This poster was titled as ‘Design Fabrication and Testing of Solid Rocket Motor Grain.’ About 38 teams across India were short listed for the presentation in this conference.
Various IITs, NITs, Deemed and other reputed University students took part on this event.
Prof. Ch.Sanjay, Principal, School of Technology, Dr. N.V.Swamy Naidu, HoD, Aerospace Engineering, Dr. Susheel Kumar Swain, Professor-Aerospace, DVVSR Varma, Resident Director and faculty appreciated the Aerospace team.
