Hyderabad: Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, along with Special Chief Secretary (Education) Chitra Ramachandran, held a video conference on Friday with all the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police and reviewed arrangements of Intermediate Public Examinations March 2020.
Theory examinations are scheduled from 4th March 2020. The timings of Theory Examinations are 08.45 AM to 12.00 Noon.
The Minister stressed on the importance of Intermediate exams and the resolve of the government to conduct them in a flawless manner. She urged the District Collectors to Coordinate with all other departments like Police, Postal, Education, Revenue, TSRTC, BSNL, TSSPDCL, NPDCL, Health, etc., and ensure there is no hitch, whatsoever.
Board of Intermediate have made all the arrangements for conduct of exams and it is the Collectors who have to ensure all processes and procedures are implemented properly, she said.
Meanwhile, Chitra Ramachandran advised the District Collectors to submit a status report in the form of a checklist by 20th February showing the preparedness of the District Administration for conducting the exams. Further, District Collectors should submit daily reports during the course of exams.
She advised the Police Department to extend all support for the safe keeping of the Question papers and also providing escort for the Movement of the Question Papers and Answer Script bundles. She urged the Collectors to hold review meetings with all concerned departments and to keep first hand info on each and every activity and Officials deployed.
Inspection of Exam centers to be done beforehand to assess the needs and to provide all basic amenities to the students, she said.
Chitra Ramachandran also advised the District Collectors to utilize the services of the recently appointed Student Counsellors to encourage the students to appear for the exams with confidence and courage and not to be afraid of anything.
Concluding the conference, the Minister urged the Students to Concentrate fully on the exams and not to be worried about anything else and informed that Board Intermediate has made all efforts for conducting exams in an efficient manner and there have been no issues this year since beginning till date. There won’t be any problems hereafter too, she said.
A total of 965,840 students will appear for the exams at 1,339 centres across the State. There will 50 flying Squads, 200 Sitting Squads and 24,750 Invigilators for the smooth conduct of exams. A Control Room will function with the Telephone No. 040-24601010/ 24732369 and Fax No. 040-24655027. (INN)
