KTR holds video conference Addl Collectors, Municipal Commissioners

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao, along with Ministers Etela Rajender and Srinivas Goud, held a video conference with the Addl.Collectors, Municipal Commissioners of all Districts of Telangana State from GHMC Head office, here today.

KTR directed the officials to strictly implement the lockdown, especially in the Containment Zones across the State. He said that there were 260 containment zones in the State. Of them 146 zones fall within GHMC limits while the remaining 43 are in other municipalities across Telangana.

He directed the Municipal Commissioners to ensure that the people living in Containment Zones stay indoors. He also directed the officials that essentials including milk, vegetables and medicine should be delivered at their door steps. The essentials should be delivered only by the volunteers.

The Minister also said that volunteers should be provided with separate dress code. The needs of the people should be noted by creating Whatsapp groups, people living in the containment zones should be made the group members. He directed the officials to book cases against people living in containment zones and flouting guidelines that need to be followed.

KTR said that awareness should be crated among people to follow the containment guidelines in order to avoid new positive cases. Sanitation, spraying of disinfectants and a survey to check fever should be executed with utmost care.

The Minister also directed that the sanitation and other staffers spraying disinfectants should be equipped with safety gear and monitored by officials.

The officials were directed by the minister to stock Sodium Hypochlorite solution in advance. To implement containment guidelines, there should be effective coordination among the officials of Health, Police, Water Board departments. (INN)
