Hyderabad: A delegation of Telangana TDP leaders called on Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday seeking his intervention over allotment of rooms in Assembly premises.
Speaking to media persons after meeting the Governor, Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy alleged that Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary’s decision to take away Room Nos. 107 & 110 from Telugu Desam Legislature Party (TDLP) was unconstitutional.
He said both the rooms were allotted to Assembly committees without even giving any intimation to the TDLP. He said that the Governor has been urged to intervene into the matter.
Revanth Reddy alleged that the Speaker was acting like a TRS worker and accused him of not protecting the rights of Members of Legislative Assembly.
Describing the Speaker’s decision as politically motivated, he said that the TDLP could not be deprived of its right to have office space in Assembly premises.
TDP leader Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy and others senior leaders were also part of the delegation. (INN)
