MANUU joins celebration of one year of Education Policy online

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has taken multiple steps to implement National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 during the last one year.

Prof. Syed  Ainul Hasan, who attended an online meeting yesterday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate one year of NEP, in a statement today described NEP a revolutionary policy document and said MANUU is trying its level best to implement it.

The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, yesterday organized the launch event celebrating one year of National Education Policy 2020. The University stakeholders attended the launch event online at the Conference Hall, Administrative Building, MANUU. Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c and Deans of various schools also attended.

Prof. Ainul Hasan while giving details about the steps taken by MANUU, pointed out that E-content production on NEP is a novel initiative undertaken by Instructional Media Centre. Prof. Kasturirangan, Chairman, NEP draft committee graced the inaugural signifying the importance of this exercise.

Besides holding a flurry of online events to disseminate the broader contours of the NEP, MANUU has brought out a special issue of University magazine “Al Kalam” exclusively on NEP 2020 in April this year.

The Vice-Chancellor also held two separate meetings with the Directorate of Distance Education – Centre For Internal Quality Assurance (CIQA) and Covid 19 Monitoring Committee. He asked CIQA to review and update the syllabus of distance mode courses to make it relevant to contemporary demands. (INN)
