Bye-elections for Huzurabad Assembly seat on 30th October

Hyderabad: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday issued the schedule for bye-elections to Huzurabad Assembly constituency.

According to ECI, the Gazette notification for the bye-elections will be issued on 1st October while 8th October will be the last date for filing of nominations which will be scrutinised on 11th October. The last date for withdrawal of candidatures will be 13th October.

Polling will be on 30th October and the counting of votes and declaration of results will be on 2nd November.

Bye-elections for Nagarjuna Sagar seat were necessitated due to the resignation of sitting MLA Etala Rajender following his dismissal from State Cabinet on the charges of encroaching upon assigned lands.The ECI has also announced the schedule for bye-elections for three Parliamentary constituencies and 30 Assembly constituencies of various States. (INN)
