Lingampalli Station gets new RPF Post

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager (In-Charge) Arun Kumar Jain inaugurated the newly constructed Railway Protection Force Post at Lingampalli Railway station of Secunderabad Division here on Monday.

SCR Principal Chief Security Commissioner G.M Eswara Rao and other senior officials from the Headquarters and Division were also present on the occasion.

Lingampalli Railway station is one of the important Railway station in South Central Railways serving the passengers of the Hyderabad / Secunderabad region. Currently, the station is handling around 27 pairs of Express trains, 56 MMTS trains with a passenger footfall of around 20,000 on average per day. With the gradual increase in the passenger traffic at the station, it has become one of the important Coaching Terminal in the Hyderabad City region. The Station is also located in the western part of the Hyderabad City, which has undergone rapid development in the recent past. Lingampalli is the nearest rail terminal for passengers in and around Hi-tech city, Cyber Towers and Financial district area among others.The General Manager (In-Charge) inspected the newly constructed RPF post, which has been equipped with modern technology to monitor round the clock surveillance at a busy Railway station like Lingampalli. He stated that the RPF post has been provided with required facilities which will enhance the passenger security while ensuring close monitoring of the security situation and asset protection in Railway station premises. He advised the RPF personnel to continue safeguarding the passengers and their belongings and also educate the passengers on safety aspects in Railway premises. (INN)
