Hyderabad: Regional English Language Office (RELO) at United States Embassy, New Delhi is deputing English language Fellow Ms. Vivienne Valles Thomas at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) from September this year for a period of 10 months.
This was conveyed by Ms. Ruth Goode, Regional English Officer, US Embassy to Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU during their meeting here today. US Consulate Hyderabad will also facilitate in conducting a 3 week long teacher’s training programme in collaboration with Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT), MANUU.
Prof. Ainul Hasan while welcoming the offer of collaboration from American Consulate revealed his plan to establish a “Linguistic Empowerment Cell” at MANUU. He sought their support in this unique endeavour.
Dr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Incharge, Training and Placement Cell, MANUU and Mr. T. Senthil Kumar, Cultural Affairs Assistant of US Consulate, Hyderabad were also present.
Earlier, Ms. Robin V. Cathey, was deputed as English Language Fellow at MANUU by Regional English Language Office, New Delhi during 2018-19.
