Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s (MANUU) Instructional Media Centre (IMC) has entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Research Institute of Unani Medicine for Skin Disorders (NRIUMSD), Hyderabad in order to collaborate and engage in academic and research activities. IMC will produce Audio-Visual programme to help in promoting Unani method of medicine and taking it to the public worldwide. NRIUMSD is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU and Dr. Ahmed Minhajuddin, Director, NRIUMSD signed the MoU in a ceremony held at NRIUMSD erstwhile “Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Hyderabad” yesterday evening.
This collaborative effort will help general public through documentaries on health problems and awareness & research.
Prof. Ainul Hasan while describing the vast and glorious history of Unani medicine, said that the effective traditional health system need to be propagated through means of communications as well as in practice. Make the MoU real and this shouldn’t remain on paper only, he said.
Dr. Ahmed Minhajuddin said the institution is working hard in the field of medicine and medicinal research since long and the MoU will help us to reach the wider range of public so that they could be benefited by this effective health system.
Mr. Rizwan Ahamd, Director IMC spoke on the idea of publicizing unani medicine through social platform systematically for public knowledge. School of Sciences of MANUU and NRIUMSD may also conduct studies and research jointly through this MoU, he pointed.
