Hyderabad: Tourism Minister Srinivas Goud said that the state government would bring back the past glory of Buddhism.
He was speaking after a meeting with Buddhist representatives of Bhutan in Paryataka Bhavan on Wednesday. He said that the Nalgonda district was the centre of Buddhist culture in the times of Acharya Nagarjuna and the state government was constructing the Boudhavanam on a grand scale.
He said that consultations were made with representatives of Buddhist architecture experts from Taiwan, Indonesia, Mongolia, and other countries. Discussions were held with the Bhutan representatives to organize an International Seminar on Buddhism.He said that many Buddhist countries were ready to establish cultural and business ties with the Telangana state.
