Dy CM Mahmood Ali leads all Departments Meeting for Haj Camp

Hyderabad, August 4: Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Telangana, reviewed the arrangements being made for successful conduct of the Haj Camp 2016, and instructed that excellent arrangements should be made for the smooth departure of the Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point.

He said that the Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao desired that no stone be left unturned for providing comfort and convenience to the Haj pilgrims when they leave for the most sacred journey of their lifetime.

He announced that Anti Meningitis, Seasonal Influenza vaccination and polio drops administration would commence from 9th August throughout the state with elaborate arrangements in all the districts of both the states.

Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali asked the Air India authorities to ensure that no Haj flight is delayed and all amenities be provided to the pilgrims, as was done last year.

He asked the Air India to be prepared to arrange for three more flights in the event of expected enhancement of Haj quota to both the states.

The Deputy Chief Minister appreciated all the departments for rendering outstanding services to the pilgrims.

He lauded the cooperation of GMR, Customs, Immigration, CISF, BCAS, SBI, IPM, Princess Esra Hospital, GHMC, TRANSCO, Fire Services, RTC, PWD, Police and Traffic Police departments for their impressive performance last year and said that due to their cooperation the Telangana got the pride of place in the country last year.

He hoped that this time arrangements by all these departments would be better than the past years. He inaugurated the website of the TS Haj Committee on this occasion.

The Haj Camp 2016 will commence from August 19 at Haj House, Nampally, Hyderabad and Haj Pilgrims will start proceeding to Haj from 21st August.

Mr. Momin Ahmad Hussain, Chairman AP State Haj Committee said that both the states would work together for smooth departure of the Haj pilgrims.

Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary Minorities Welfare Department, asked the GMR to provide X-Ray machines at the Haj House as per the last year’s practice and instructed the TS TRANSCO officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Haj Camp.

Prof. S. A. Shukoor, Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee welcomed the officials and conducted the proceedings. He requested the officials of various departments for their exemplary services for the success of the Haj Camp. Mr. Irfan Shareef AEO TSHC proposed a vote of thanks.
