Keep up the spirit of success, Harish Rao conducts a review on SSC

Hyderabad: Finance Minister Harish Rao said that a teleconference will be held with the parents of the students within a week. He held a review meeting for SSC students with principals along with school education officials at Siddipet Collectorate on Tuesday.

Speaking on this occasion, Harish Rao thanked the teachers for placing the district first in the tenth class results last year. He said that the state reached the top in SSC results which were in fifth place when it was separated from Andhra Pradesh. He called upon the teachers to move forward with the spirit of the past to retain the first position this year as well. He said that like last year, letters have been written to the parents of the children this year too. He said that the state was lagging in achieving 10/10, and the public representatives and youth should adopt the schools in the villages. He advised teachers to organize meetings with parents and to sensitize them.

District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil, ZP Chairperson Rojasharma, MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLCs Farooq Hussain, Yadava Reddy, MLA Muthireddy, Oditela Satish Babu, FDC Chairman Pratap Reddy and EDO Srinivas Reddy attended the meeting.Harish Rao said that children were more attracted to mobile phones and KCR digital content books will be distributed to 10 lakh students. He said that 14,576 students in the district will write the SSC exams this year. The Minister said that 11,261 students are studying in government schools and another 3,315 students are studying in private schools. The Minister said that 97.85% of students passed in the previous year and announced that Rs.10,000 prize money would be given to the students who score 10/10 and Rs.25,000 to those who scored 100% marks. (INN)
