Tamil leaders applaud Telangana schemes

Hyderabad: Tamil Nadu legislators said that the work being done for the empowerment of Dalits in Telangana state was commendable.

 They said that the schemes being implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao in accordance with Ambedkar’s aspirations were wonderful. VCK Party Floor Leader S.Selvan, S.S. Balaji along with many officials and representatives of NGOs visited the Center for Dalit Studies in Jubilee Hills on Saturday.

They revealed that they were studying the schemes being implemented for Dalits in Telangana. They said that the Telangana government would bring revolutionary changes in the living conditions and activities of the Dalits, who are currently oppressed communities due to the neglect of the previous rulers. The Tamil Nadu legislators said that many countries of the world were praising the schemes like Dalit Bandhu and three acres of land for Dalits.They hailed the Dalit Study Center as a testament to the upliftment of Dalits in Telangana. They stated that they will do their best as a legislative platform to introduce such schemes in Tamil Nadu. They were accompanied by CDS Chairperson Dr Mallepalli Lakshmaiah, retired IAS officer Kaki Madhavrao, Senior Editor Ramachandramurthy and others. (INN)
