TS Govt encouraging sportsmen in the state: Srinivas Goud

Hyderabad: State Excise, Sports and Tourism Minister Dr V. Srinivas Goud launched the constituency-level cricket tournament organized in the name of his parents Virasanolla Narayana Goud and Santhamma at the Mahabubnagar district sports stadium ground.

The minister said that to encourage the sportsmen, the government was constructing sports premises at the rural level. He explained that cash awards were given to sportspersons who achieve medals on national and international platforms. He said that two per cent reservation in government jobs was being provided to sportspersons who excel in sports. It is suggested that the youth should not be attracted by the toxic propaganda coming on social media and should follow the right path.He called upon the youth to improve their lives with discipline. Mega Job Mela was organized in the district and around 4500 unemployed youths were given jobs in the private sector. Another job fair will be organized soon and job opportunities will be provided to the youth, he informed.  District Library Association Chairman Rajeshwar Goud and others were present. (INN)
