Hyderabad: The inauguration ceremony of the new Secretariat has been postponed.
The State Government has postponed the secretariat opening program in wake of the MLC election code in force in the state. The notification for the election of the MLC of Teachers and MLC of Hyderabad local bodies has been released recently.In this context, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari consulted with the Election Commission of India (ECI) about the opening ceremony of the Secretariat scheduled on February 17. After getting the response, the government has decided to postpone the opening ceremony of the Secretariat for the time being. The new date of the inauguration would be announced soon. (INN)
