Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the State Government would make all necessary arrangements for the holy month of Ramzan beginning soon.
Srinivas Yadav, along with Home Minister Mahmood Ali reviewed the arrangements for Ramzan along with the officials of various departments at his office in Masab Tank on Thursday. Waqf Board Chairman Masiullah Khan, Haj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem, Wakf Board CEO Khaja Moinuddin and the officials of GHMC, Water Works, Electricity, Sanitation and other departments participated in the meeting.
The Minister said that people are happily celebrating all the festivals after the formation of Telangana state. He said that the government would make all required arrangements for the smooth conduct of all festivals as per the orders of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He said that all the arrangements will be made for Ramzan as per the convention.
He directed the officials to take up necessary development works like road repairs, environment cleanliness and lighting at the mosques. The water works officials were directed to take steps to ensure an uninterrupted water supply. The GHMC officials were directed to take out a special drive to address the menace of stray dogs near some mosques. (INN)
