Agriculture has become a festivity in Telangana: Errabelli Dayakar Rao

Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that agriculture has become a festival under the chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s rule. He said that KCR was the one who gave 24-hour free electricity to farmers.

He criticized the central government and said that BJP was a party of thieves and they don’t care about farmers. He alleged that Modi’s policy was to rob the poor. The minister inaugurated the paddy procurement centres established at Palakurti, Thorruru and Peddawangara in Warangal and Mahabubabad districts on Thursday. He said that the grain was not purchased during the previous governments in the way it is being done now. He said that this process started after KCR became the Chief Minister.He said that the government was buying grain by spending thousands of crores only for farmers. He said that 7,000 procurement centres have been set up in the current crop season. He said that during the last rainy season, 1 million tons of grain was collected. (INN)
