132 Electric buses to be launched in the Warangal region

Hyderabad: Electric buses made with modern technology will soon ply the roads of Warangal.

It is known that RTC officials recently conducted a review of the Warangal Region Manager’s work schedule to run electric buses. The routes and feasibility of running electric buses in various depots in the region were discussed. Special arrangements will be made for the operation of electric buses along with fast charging points at the bus depots.In the context of making 132 electric buses available in the RTC Warangal region, fast charging points are being set up at many bus depots. In the first phase, 132 electric buses with state-of-the-art facilities are being brought, said Regional Manager K Sreelatha. Buses with 41 seats will be available. It has a range of over 325 kilometres on a single charge. The safety of passengers will also be given priority. At least three CCTV cameras are being installed on the bus. K Srilatha said that these CCTV cameras will be connected to the TSRTC control room. (INN)
