Dy CM inaugurates Vaccination Programme for Haj pilgrims

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali inaugurated the Vaccination Camp for the selected Haj pilgrims of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts here on Tuesday.

Addressing the pilgrims he said that a very little time was left for their departure to the most sacred journey of their life time.

“The State Government, led by K Chandrasekhara Rao is making all out efforts for the smooth departure of the pilgrims,” he said and expressed his gratitude to all the officials, doctors and para-medical staff for their selfless service to the pilgrims.

He said that due to the sincere services and cooperation of all the concerned the Telangana State Haj Committee got the pride of place in the country.

He requested the pilgrims to pray for peace, progress and prosperity of the nation, the state and the people.

Nampally MLA Jaffer Hussain Meraj highlighted the importance of the vaccination and said that in the back drop of the pilgrims thronging from every nook and corner of the world, there would be a threat of pilgrims getting infected during Haj.

ACB Director General A K Khan, Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel, GHMC Corporator Mamta Gupta, IPM Director Dr. C. Leelavati and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

Doctors and Para Medical staff from the Princess Esra Hospital and the District Medical & Health Office administered vaccines to the pilgrims.

The Vaccination Camp at Haj House will last for two more days after that the pilgrims may obtain vaccination at the Princess Esra Hospital, Shalibunda, Hyderabad on Friday and Saturday.

Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor informed that pilgrims from Cover No. 1 to Cover No. 2000 would be administered vaccination on the first day.

He requested pilgrims to bring the copy of the Haj Guide, as it contains the medical history of the pilgrims. (INN)
