Hyderabad: Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao claimed that Telangana has become an example for the country as it provides good governance in self-governance.
As part of Telangana formation decade celebrations, Minister Harish Rao participated and spoke in the Suparipalana Dinotsavam organized at Sangareddy District Center on Saturday.
During his speech, Minister Harish Rao recollected the claims made by leaders from Andhra Pradesh during the Telangana movement, predicting a reign of Naxalites, daily curfews, and electricity problems if Telangana were to be formed. However, he emphasized that the past nine years of Chief Minister KCR’s rule in Telangana have proven those allegations wrong. Telangana stands as a shining example, with an uninterrupted 24-hour electricity supply across all sectors.
Minister Harish Rao further stated that their focus remains on providing good governance alongside promoting development. Telangana’s policies and schemes have gained recognition nationwide, with initiatives such as Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha serving as role models for the rest of the country.He noted that the formation of smaller districts and the increased number of collectors have significantly improved public services. Following the establishment of the Sangareddy district, 769 new officials have been appointed, ensuring efficient administration in the region. (INN)
