Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the new collectorate building at Jogulamba Gadwal district headquarters on Monday.
During his address to the employees, he announced that once the Gattu Lift Irrigation project is completed, Gadwal will witness significant development and prosperity. He also shared the exciting news that a medical college is set to be established in Gadwal district.
Expressing his happiness at inaugurating the Gadwal District Administration Building, the Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the district’s public representatives, employees, and the people. He proudly claimed that Telangana is leading in various sectors across the country, including per capita income, per capita power utilization, and ODP (Overall Development Programme). KCR fondly recalled a visit to a village in Gadwal during the movement for separate statehood, where he witnessed the struggles faced by the people due to water scarcity. He emphasized that Telangana is progressing and developing as a result of the efforts made during the statehood movement.
KCR expressed his belief that the completion of the Gattu Lift Irrigation project will transform the district into a prosperous region akin to a precious diamond and gold piece. He urged the employees to continue working diligently as there is more to achieve in the days ahead. Furthermore, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s focus on addressing issues such as malnutrition and child health. He mentioned that measures are being implemented to prevent and alleviate suffering related to malnutrition.Proudly stating that Telangana has surpassed Punjab as the leading producer of paddy, KCR applauded the state’s remarkable agricultural achievements. Additionally, he announced that a medical college is being established in Gadwal, contributing to the development of the Old Palamuru district, which will now have five medical colleges. (INN)
