Women’s welfare in the state is ideal for the country: K Kavitha

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that the Telangana government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is giving priority to the welfare of women.

She said that CM KCR has inspired the country by implementing many schemes with the intention of developing the girl child in all ways. She explained that more work is being done in Telangana than in any other state for the welfare of women. On the occasion of Women’s Welfare Day, which is being celebrated as part of Telangana State Formation Decade Celebrations, Kavitha extended her greetings to the women.

Chief Minister KCR stood by people in the form of Kalyana Lakshmi, Nutrition Kits, KCR Kit, Arogya Lakshmi and many other schemes, she said. She said that KCR deserves the credit for providing 50 per cent reservation for women in local organizations and making them participate in political systems. She reminded that the Mission Bhagiratha program was brought with the intention of providing safe water at home without having to walk kilometres for water with bottles.In the last nine years, as many as 13,90,636 infants benefited from KCR Kits, KCR nutrition kits were given to 6.84 lakh pregnant women, the Amma Odi scheme was given to 18,46,635 women and Telangana state created a new record in women’s welfare under the rule of BRS government, she informed. She said that she was very proud as a woman to see women living proudly and happily in Telangana under the rule of CM KCR. (INN)
