KTR, Harish Rao inaugurates IT Tower in Siddipet

Hyderabad: Finance Minister Harish Rao, accompanied by IT Minister K T Rama Rao, inaugurated the state-of-the-art IT tower in Siddipet town’s suburbs on Thursday.

The momentous event was marked by Minister KTR addressing a gathering to celebrate the occasion. He emphasized the significance of the state’s formation in Siddipet’s elevation to a district, hailing it as a vital hub for Telangana. The launch of the IT tower has already generated approximately 1,500 job opportunities in Siddipet.

Minister KTR expressed his commitment to further developing Siddipet by attracting large-scale industries to the area. He commended the immediate response of companies, which began offering jobs on the very day of the IT tower’s inauguration. The IT hub will be expanded through the allocation of additional funds, and plans are underway to establish a T-Hub in Siddipet in the near future. Minister KTR highlighted the remarkable growth in IT exports, which surged from Rs. 56,000 crores in 2014 to Rs. 2.41 lakh crores at present, thanks to the establishment of the state.

The Telangana model, according to Minister KTR, signifies comprehensive, inclusive, integrated, and balanced development. Despite having only 3 per cent of the population residing in rural areas, Telangana has achieved 30 per cent of the awards. The state’s green cover has also witnessed a remarkable increase of 7.7 per cent through the successful implementation of Harithaharam. Additionally, Siddipet played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Mission Bhagiratha.

The foundation stone for the construction of the IT tower was laid by CM KCR on December 10, 2020, and on the same day, the IT Department Secretary signed agreements with several companies. Prominent IT firms have shown keen interest in operating within the Siddipet IT Tower. Recently, a mega job fair was organized on June 14, attracting a large number of students. Notably, OSI Digital (244 jobs), Fixity Technologies (100), Amidai Edutech (80), Jolan Tech (25), Vision Info Tech (25), Thoran Technologies (25), BCDC Cloud Centers (03), Rank IT Services (25), Comcx IT (25), MSPR (25), Amrita System (25), and Innosol (25) have successfully created job opportunities. Out of the numerous applicants, 718 individuals were selected, and they were promptly provided with the necessary facilities to commence their work at the IT tower. To facilitate the transition into their new roles, job fair participants will receive training through toss.

Minister Harish Rao assured companies participating in the Siddipet IT Tower of free maintenance, rent, electricity, and internet bills for a period of two years. (INN)
