Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Kumrambhim Asifabad, Mancherial, Bhupalapalli and Mahabubnagar districts, indicating heavy to very heavy rains in the next 24 hours. An orange alert has been issued for Warangal, Hanmakonda, Janagam, Siddipet, Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Narayanapet districts. A yellow alert has been issued for Adilabad, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Mulugu, Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahbubabad, Hyderabad, Malkajgiri and Kamareddy.
Moderate to heavy rains have been falling in Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Hanmakonda, Siddipet, Warangal, Kothagudem, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and Suryapet districts since this morning. TSDPS explained that till now the highest rainfall of more than 8 centimeters was recorded in Madanapalle of Vikarabad district.The Meteorological Department has warned that there are chances of heavy to very heavy rains in the state for the next five days. People are advised to be careful and take necessary precautions. (INN)
